It’s an honor to meet you. I heard this is your first interview. How are you feeling right now?

This kind of interview setting is very unfamiliar and awkward, so I’m actually a little embarrassed. I’m thinking it’s a relief this interview isn’t being filmed. It would be embarrassing if my blushing face was broadcast, right? I feel like I’ve received more interest than I deserve, so I’m happy and thrilled. Maybe I have the disposition of a celebrity. (laughs)

There are many speculations and controversies about the Swallow Guild, which appeared like a comet. Could you tell us how the Swallow Guild came to be and how you came to know its guild members?

Ah, this question is too intertwined with my family and personal history, so it’s a question I’d like to remain silent on. That’s okay, right?

Of course. If there are any other questions you’d like to refuse in the future, please feel free to say so. There has been a lot of talk ever since the Association announced it was forming Team Noah. What were your thoughts when you received the offer to join? Did you imagine you would become this famous?

Since it was about becoming a team that represents Korea, I did imagine I would become famous. I don’t think there’s anyone who wouldn’t have. And in the first place, except for myself and one other person, the other members were already famous. Hmm, since this is an interview, I’ll reveal this, but honestly, I think I would have become famous even if I hadn’t joined Noah. I don’t think my skills are lacking to the point of not gaining fame. The Association just guided me to a shortcut.

You’re very honest. Is your personality usually like this?

It’s an interview. I believe I should show my honest side in a setting like this. And I think that by showing my honest side, whether I get criticized or praised, it will be for who I am, so I won’t have any complaints.

What are your thoughts on the unfortunate incident that occurred before the official schedule to clear Adelia’s Tomb?

I never imagined there would be someone who would do something so bold during an official event. As you know, there were dozens of reporters and dozens of cameras there at the time. I remember being very surprised that a person who never thought they would be kidnapped was kidnapped. The first thought that came to my mind was, hmm, ‘The Association does its job like trash,’ and ‘Did they bring me into Noah just to show me this kind of spectacle?’ And then I thought, ‘Ah, do these bastards think I’m a pushover?’ Ah, this, of course, is about the kidnappers. Do you have any predictions on how the Association will react to this interview?

The Association President is a little incompetent, but he’s still a very good person. Even knowing my personality, he was the one who suggested the interview first. Other people would have probably told me not to do any interviews or media coverage, but he doesn’t try to hide the flaws in my personality, so I think he’s a person of integrity, just as much as I am. So, he might get a little angry when he sees this interview, but don’t you think he’ll just resign himself to it? Of course, he will. It was an interview he himself suggested. But if he still blames me and gets angry, it just means the Association President is a little incompetent and couldn’t have predicted this situation, so I’ll try to understand. (laughs)

Your confidence is very cool. I’m also drawn to your confident side, so I think the public who sees this interview will feel something similar. What is your relationship with the person who was kidnapped, commonly known as the ‘Masked Man’? There has been a lot of debate about your relationship since you were both seen wearing the same ring.

Hmm, it’s not the kind of relationship you all are thinking of, like lovers or anything like that. What looks like a couple ring is a pairing ring we obtained while clearing a Gate together. We’re wearing it together because its effect is good. Of course, separate from that, he is a very precious person to me. He is someone I have been with for a very long time, and our connection was forged even before the Swallow Guild was established. Everyone has a connection like that, right? That’s why when he was kidnapped, I lost my mind. Actually, I’m still in a state of having lost my mind. My only thought is to catch all the kidnapping bastards and tear them to shreds, so I hope to bring you some good news soon.

Is your disappearance after clearing Adelia’s Tomb related to your statement just now?

Ah, the statement about catching the kidnappers and tearing them to shreds? Of course, it is. I am preparing very hard, tracking them, and following their trails. I hope that when this interview article is released later, they will feel a little nervous when they see its content. I have no intention of letting people who touch what is mine live peacefully.

Listening to you, it seems you have a very bulldozer-like personality. Would that be correct?

I often hear that I have anger management issues. (laughs) Of course, I’ve been to counseling, and I don’t have any particular mental problems. So, to be precise, it’s not that I can’t control my anger due to a mental problem, but that I just can’t find a reason to control it. As you know, I was the main force in clearing Adelia’s Tomb. Do I, a person with enough skill to clear a Gate that had never been cleared before, need to watch my back around anyone with these skills? On the contrary, I think people should be watching their backs around me.

Contrary to what you’ve said, I heard that in private settings, you are very humble and also donate frequently. What are your thoughts on this?

That’s not a question doubting me, is it? Because that would make me a little annoyed. I did make the donations with my own money, and I did volunteer at the kindergarten myself. I’m not particularly fond of small children, but I do volunteer often. As for being humble, hmm, I’m not so sure. Do people say I’m humble? I respect their evaluation, but I’d like to tell them their judgment is abnormal. To the point where I’d like to recommend a good potion workshop I know.

Still, it is a fact that you have donated and volunteered. You seem like a very good person.

Since I’m standing before everyone like this, as Sa-yoon, I want to show a good side. However, there is a difference between being good and being a pushover, and I hope everyone knows that a good path and an unconventional path are of a different grain. If you don’t know the difference, I’ll show you from now on.

Is that a notice that you will be walking an unconventional path in the future?

I think it would be good for you to think of it that way. I plan to show an unprecedented path. Everything I do from now on will be different from the dog-like hunters who act fake while watching the public’s mood, or the Association that lies about only pursuing the public good. I always move for my own personal gain and for my own goals, and I am not scrupulous about the means and methods. So, I hope the people who intend to harm the things I cherish will know this clearly. As you can see from the amount the Swallow Guild has donated, I have a lot of money, and my skills as a hunter are so good that I don’t need to hire assassins. (laughs)
