Hello everyone.
Today, we have some difficult news to share regarding Kirara.
Since last year, Kirara has been battling an illness that has significantly affected his health. After taking a short break to focus on his recovery, he was able to return to the translation scene in late December last year. We were very happy to welcome him back, and we know many of you were as well. Unfortunately, a few months ago, his illness relapsed and has since taken a much more serious toll on his health. After many discussions between Kirara and the rest of the team, and with his well-being as the highest priority, he has made the decision to permanently step away from translation and retire from the scene.
Kirara will not be returning to translation work.
While this is not the kind of farewell any of us had hoped to make, we fully respect his decision and sincerely hope that he can now devote his time and energy toward his health, recovery, and the people closest to him.
Over the past few years, Kirara has contributed an incredible amount of time, effort, and passion to his translations. His work has allowed many readers to discover and enjoy stories that they otherwise may never have been able to experience. Behind every chapter was countless hours of translating, editing, researching, and carefully choosing the right words to bring each work to life.
To everyone who has read his translations, left comments, shared his work, offered encouragement, or supported him throughout the years: thank you. We are certain that your support meant a great deal to him, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who accompanied him throughout his time in the translation community.
Regarding Kirara's Projects
We know many of you will also be wondering what will happen to Kirara's ongoing and planned projects.
For the time being, we will be taking over and continuing his ongoing works, with the goal of finishing them rather than leaving them abandoned.
We also plan to go through the projects that were previously placed on hold, as well as some of the projects that Kirara had planned to work on in the future. We cannot promise that everything will resume immediately, but we do want to continue as much of his work as we reasonably can. There are also several completed or partially completed works that Kirara had already worked on before stepping away. We are currently sorting through those materials, and we will be uploading the completed ones to the site once they are ready.
So if releases seem a little irregular for a while, please bear with us.
There is quite a bit for us to organize, including completed translations, drafts, unfinished chapters, notes, and the status of each project. We would rather take the time to sort everything out properly than rush things and create more confusion. Once we have a clearer picture, we will share more updates about individual projects and what to expect going forward.
We also kindly ask everyone to respect Kirara's privacy. We understand that some of you may be worried about him or want to know more about his condition, but we hope everyone can give him the space he needs right now. At the end of the day, his health comes first. Kirara has been a big part of this group and this community for the past few years, and it is difficult to imagine things without him around. We are sad to see him leave, but more than anything, we are thankful for the time, effort, and care he put into his work.
Thank you, Kirara, for all the chapters, all the late nights, all the hard work, and all the stories you helped bring to us.
And thank you to everyone who supported him along the way.
We hope you will continue supporting the projects he worked on as we do our best to carry them forward.
